A Chicken Pot Pie!

Here's the recipe for the best flaky crust chicken pot pie ever!

(No peas or celery for picky eaters!)

Sautee:
2 chicken breasts (cubed)
2 carrots
1 onion
1 stick butter

Add in:
3/4 sour cream
1 cup water
1 cup milk
seasonings
flour/cornstarch (to thicken)

Crust: cressant roll dough or flaky biscuit

Prep time: 20 minutes
Bake time: 25 minutes at 350F

Homemade Scones!

I must have been a real good boy last night, because Mommy made me scones this morning, one of my favorites!  She even let me help (watch).  We're both British you know... ;)

Here's the best recipe ever for made from scratch cranberry scones!

1.5 C flour
2.5 TB sugar
1 TB baking powder
.5 tsp baking soda
1/4 C cold butter (cubed)
1/2 C Grapefruit or Orange Juice (fresh-squeezed is best)
1 C Cranberries (measure, then chop)
Extra 2/3 TB Raw sugar (for dusting)

Mix your drys and wets separately - saving butter to cut in cubed butter to dry mix last.

Will be sticky, dump it out and cut it in four.

Bake for 22 minutes at 400* on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.

*Remember parchment paper is the key to stick-free baking!*

Silly Willy Breaking News: Miley Cyrus is Preggers!

Amidst rumors of embarassingly wet and sloppy kisses (in public!),  TMZ aired video footage today, where Miley Cyrus (aka "Hannah Montana") seems startled being caught with her bf, then runs off holding a sweatshirt in front of her belly, already covered by a suspiciously tied sweater.

 

You heard it here first.  Teenage Miley Cyrus is pregnant!  Maybe she's been hanging around too much with Bristol Palin and Jamie Lynn Spears.

Here are a couple of buddies I met on the walk today. The puffy squished face girl is named Shelia, and she's in love with me. The scaredy-cat is named Goldie, but she's real nice when you give her a lick.

My pack and I went on a nice long walk this morning. Lots of leaves, pumpkins, and Obama signs. (Yahoo!)

It was so nice, I had to nap all day afterwards to savor the feeling.

It's getting dark, and Mommy just made a hot, spicy apple drink on the stove. I LOVE apples, and this smelled soooo good, I begged and gave her puppy-dog-eyes until she graciously gave me my own little bowl.

Yummy! Nothing warms the tummy on a cold rainy day and makes you feel cheerier than hot apple cider. :)

But my pals call me Silly Willy,  and if you give me a belly rub, I'll let you do the same. ;)

My pack leaders (aka Momma and Daddy), looove to take pictures of me with their little flashy box.  I think it's called a "Lemmegethecamera".  I may be one year old now, but I've only had a family for the last couple moons.  So I am new to a lot of things in the human world.

Like the coffee bucket.  When it wakes up and opens its one red eye, he starts to gurgle and growl at me when I try to eat my breakfast.  I tried to scare the coffee monster away, but Momma made me stop.  I still don't like him.

Sometimes I have nightmares about scarier places, with meat-eating bugs and sad hounds howling all night in cold cages.  I try to run and whimper when I can't get away.  That's when Mommy or Daddy always wakes me up with hugs and pets.   If my pack is still awake, I might be lucky enough to lay in someone's lap and get snuggled.  That's my favorite.

Biscuits are also my favorite.

Dog Biscuits, People Biscuits, Triscuits or Scones: I love them all.

The crunchier the better, except when it comes to blankies; then the opposite applies.

Oh, and I must not forget TENNIS BALLS!  Dunlop perferably.
